Is it possible to hotwire a mercedes benz

All Search Everything. My most recent aquisition, D, the ignition switch was held up with wires. The PO couldn't find the key so I have no way to start it or open the trunk. I have tried a jump wire across in the female part of the plug. I got it to crank but no fire.

I'm sure there is a combination of connections that have to be made to warm the GP's, turn on the electrics, and engage the starter. Problem is that I have no clue witch one does what. For now I just want to be able to start the car so I can move it around. Any ideas? Hopefully the pics will help. View Photos By: justinperkins. You cannot do it on electronics alone. If you dont unplug it, it will fire and then immediatly die.

I live in san diego so in modert weather this has worked. This should make the engine turn over. If it doesn't work right away, dont give up, for that starter it takes some caressing and the right spot to get it to turn. I hope this is usefull. View Photos By: bgkast. Or get under it and move the manual valve and get the parking pawl out manually, If it's a wreck you can chock it and leave it in neutral.

Or better yet, throw a chain around the front suspension and drag it out with a pickup. Might break the parking pawl bonus! Sign up to join this community. The best answers are voted up and rise to the top.
